books for community is a deliberately anti-racist community initiative.
A collection of books selected to support Black, Indigenous and racialized (BIR) members of the community.
The books listed here are special.
Either they are anti-racism tools or they are written by local BIR authors.
A portion of each book sale directly supports a local cause. See each book description for details.
Since launching in July 2021, the books for community program has partnered with groups like the e(RACE)e Institute to support the following local causes:
